The manifesto
Your hardware shouldn't be a prison.
Most "smart" devices ship locked to a single app. The vendor updates it slowly — or walks away entirely — and your hardware stops evolving. Its imagination is capped at whatever one team managed to ship. We think that's backwards.
A device is a canvas. You — together with your agent — decide what it does. Describe the behavior you want and let AI build it, flash it, and iterate. Software defines the hardware. Agents define the hardware.

Built on Espressif's ESP32-S3, the Claw Terminal runs a Rust UI framework our team rewrote from scratch for fast, rock-solid firmware. It ships with an open bootloader — so you're never trapped in a handful of vendor apps. Point Claude Code or Codex at it and build the device you actually want.
